Advocacy
We provide a free, independent link for individuals who live in Philadelphia and receive or require intellectual/ developmental disabilities services through the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). Our focus is on assuring that the rights of people receiving services are protected and they are treated with dignity and respect. We want to empower people and their families to advocate for themselves.
The services we provide are. . .
- Advocate, monitor and take action to assure personal rights
- Act as an impartial source of assistance for conflict resolution
- Evaluate the adequacy of policies, procedures and services
- Provide individual training and consultation
- Referral for legal information and services
We are interested in assisting you in creating a better life for you and your family. However, due to limited resources we need to restrict our support to individuals age 14 and above. If your child required more intensive assistance in the MR/MH system, please contact us. For children 13 and younger contact your supports coordinator and the counselor at your local school.
If you are interested in learning more about our program or volunteering, please call 215.923.3349 x118.
