DESCRIPTION:Calling All Philly Faith Leaders! \nThe Philadelphia Family Support Projects at Vision for Equality would like to invite faith leaders in Philadelphia and their organizations to a virtual learning and collaboration opportunity. We help families find and navigate supports and services for their loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)\, including autism. We also provide individual peer support\, support group meetings\, and trainings for caregivers. \nHow to Support Individuals with I/DD and Autism in Faith Communities will offer faith leaders and religious organizations the knowledge and resources needed to welcome and support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (including autism) and their families so all can worship in their communities. \nWe will discuss the following: \n\nHow to remove barriers and allow for full participation in spiritual and religious activities.\nHow to create a sense of belonging for all.\nHow to use affirming language and assuming competence.\nHow to refer families for additional support.\n\nWednesday\, July 10th \n\n12:00 pm\nRegister- visionforequality.co/3VXw76V\n\n  \nTuesday\, July 30th \n\n6:00 pm\nRegister- visionforequality.co/3ziIEsk\n\n
