Mother of five wonderful children and grandmother of seven amazing grandchildren. Mary Lou’s oldest daughter, Denise was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1987. She experienced serious physical, cognitive, and social limitations due to her cancer treatment. Denise died this year and her loss is beyond words. Mary Lou’s lifetime career with SPIN began as one of the first counselors at Camp Spin. She served as an EI teacher and retired as the director of SPIN’s Early Childhood programs in the Frankford area of Philadelphia. Mrs. Haughney attended Temple University as an undergrad, Berkshire College of Education in England, and received a Masters Degree from Arcadia University. Currently enrolled in trauma awareness courses at Lakeside Global Institute.
