PA Families Need Nurses Now – a program of Vision for Equality – is a family-driven, solutions-based collaborative of multiple stakeholders working to address issues involving shift nursing and ancillary home care supports such as capacity, access, accountability, quality, training, and policy.
Our goal is to give a voice to the individuals and families who rely on skilled nursing care for their medically complex loved ones, and who are directly impacted by the nursing shortage – especially within Medicaid-funded home care nursing.
Uniting caregivers, advocates, clinicians, home care agencies, academics, and state policymakers, we are working together to reshape the industry and achieve our vision of consistent, high-quality care that allows medically complex individuals to live safely and independently at home with their families and as active members of their communities.
